Unatek is providing Information Technology Systems Certification and Accreditation Support to MBDA an Agency of the US Department of Commerce.

Unatek is providing Cyber Security Support to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is the major US National Capital Area Transit Authority that operates a balanced regional transportation system in the national capital area. The Authority began building its rail system in 1969, acquired four regional bus systems in 1973, and began operating the first phase of Metrorail in 1976. Today, Metrorail serves 86 stations and has 106 miles of track. Metrobus serves the nation's capital 24 hours a day, seven days a week with 1,500 buses. Metrorail and Metrobus serve a population of 3.4 million within a 1,500-square mile jurisdiction. Metro began its paratransit service, MetroAccess, in 1994; it provides about 1.5 million trips per year.
Unatek is providing Information Technology Systems Certification and Accreditation Support to the Smithsonian Astrophysical Obervatory.
The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) is a "research institute" of the Smithsonian Institution. It is joined with the Harvard College Observatory (HCO) to form the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA).

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a Cabinet department of the United States federal government with the primary responsibilities of protecting the territory of the U.S. from terrorist attacks and responding to natural disasters.
Whereas the Department of Defense is charged with military actions abroad, the Department of Homeland Security works in the civilian sphere to protect the United States within, at, and outside its borders. Its stated goal is to prepare for, prevent, and respond to domestic emergencies, particularly terrorism. On March 1, 2003, DHS absorbed the Immigration and Naturalization Service and assumed its duties. In doing so, it divided the enforcement and services functions into two separate and new agencies: Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Citizenship and Immigration Services. Additionally, the border enforcement functions of the INS, the U.S. Customs Service, and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service were consolidated into a new agency under DHS: U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The Federal Protective Service falls under Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington, the District, or simply D.C., is the capital of the United States, founded on July 16, 1790. The City of Washington was originally a separate municipality within the Territory of Columbia until an act of Congress in 1871 effectively merged the City and the Territory into a single entity called the District of Columbia. It is for this reason that the city, while legally named the District of Columbia, is known as Washington, D.C. The city is located on the north bank of the Potomac River and is bordered by the states of Virginia to the southwest and Maryland to the other sides. The District has a resident population of 591,833; however, because of commuters from the surrounding suburbs, its population rises to over one million during the workweek. The Washington Metropolitan Area, of which the District is a part, has a population of 5.3 million, the ninth-largest metropolitan area in the country.
Unatek on the TCBA Team provided for the FCC/USAC Information Assurance (IA) support services that includes System Security Plan (SSP) reviews of the General Support System (LAN/WAN) and four (4) Mission Critical Applications and; Penetration Testing/SCT&E of all IT systems to assure completeness and compliance with NIST 800-18, 30 & 53 requirements as specified in the E-Government Act of 2002 Title III Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) is an independent, not-for-profit corporation designated as the administrator of the federal Universal Service Fund by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). USAC administers Universal Service Fund (USF) programs for high cost companies serving rural areas, low-income consumers, rural health care providers, and schools and libraries. The Universal Service Fund helps provide communities across the country with affordable telecommunications services.
Unatek provided software implementation/training support on the AG (webMethods) platform.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the United States federal government agency that collects taxes and enforces the internal revenue laws. It is an agency within the U.S. Department of the Treasury and is responsible for interpretation and application of Federal tax law. The official U.S. Treasury regulations provide (in part): The Internal Revenue Service is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury under the immediate direction of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. The Commissioner has general superintendence of the assessment and collection of all taxes imposed by any law providing internal revenue. The Internal Revenue Service is the agency by which these functions are performed.
For the different contract engagements, Unatek provided: Websense Security Audit, Internet Access Control Audit, Risk Advisory Services; eCommerce SET Software Acquisition; Risk Assessment of Major Software Application Systems at Dulles/Regan Washington National Airports for MWAA; and CT&E of Dulles International Airport�s Identification (ID) and Passes issuance practice.

The Airports Authority operates a two-airport system that provides domestic and international air service for the mid-Atlantic region. The United States Army is the branch of the United States armed forces responsible for land-based military operations. It is the largest and oldest established branch of the U.S. military and is one of seven uniformed services. The primary mission of the Army is to "provide necessary forces and capabilities ... in support of the National Security and Defense Strategies." Control and operation is administered by the Department of the Army, one of the three service departments of the Department of Defense. The Regular Army reported a strength of 539,675 soldiers; the Army National Guard (ARNG) reported 360,351 and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) reported 197,024 putting the combined component strength total 1,097,050 soldiers (2008 Financial Year).
Unatek is currently providing FISMA Compliance & Cyber Security consulting for a major IT system used to provide DOL-wide enterprise architecture design, development and compliance with the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) model. In a separate project, Unatek also provides application re-design and enhancements of the Employment Forecasting System.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a government-run military veteran benefit system with Cabinet-level status. It is responsible for administering programs of veterans� benefits for veterans, their families, and survivors. The benefits provided include disability compensation, pension, education, home loans, life insurance, vocational rehabilitation, survivors� benefits, medical benefits and burial benefits. It is administered by the United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Unatek is currently providing DOD Directive 8570.1 IT Certification Training in six(6) core Cyber Security domains based on Microsoft and Cisco Technologies.
